The Association Actively Participates in Organic Food Day, Highlighting the Endangered Arta Tree

The Association actively participated in Organic Food Day, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture at its headquarters in Riyadh. This participation reflects the Association’s ongoing efforts to support organic farming and preserve local plant species that are at risk of extinction.

During the event, the Association presented a distinctive model of the Arta Nafoudi tree, a rare and endangered local plant, to highlight its environmental significance and its role in maintaining natural ecological balance.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board Abdullah Al-Kharashi and CEO Amira Al-Misnad, underscoring the Association’s commitment to engaging in national initiatives that support organic agriculture and raise environmental awareness in the community.

The Association emphasized that its participation reflects the importance of this day, which positively impacts the local economy and national production, while praising the Ministry and farmers for promoting organic farming concepts and advancing the Kingdom’s agricultural systems.

The Arta tree is naturally resilient, requiring no chemical fertilizers or pesticides, making it a 100% organic plant. It also serves as a natural source of animal feed, contributing to the improved quality of meat and dairy products derived from these animals.
